Invite Nigel Rawlins on your podcast
I host the Wisepreneurs Podcast: 90+ conversations with independent professionals about building practice around what they already know. I've also run my own practice, 13th Beach Marketing Services, since 1999, so I've lived the subject from both sides of the microphone.
This page has what you need to decide whether I'm right for your show: topics I can bring, bios you can paste straight into your show notes, photos, and the fast facts.

Topics I can bring to your audience
These work best for shows whose listeners are consultants, advisers, and solo or small business owners, especially people who came to independence after a long career.
Why experienced soloists undercharge, and the one-page fix
Professionals with twenty years behind them usually price their hours, not the situations those years taught them to read. I walk through a one-page exercise that shows what a practice actually needs to earn, and why the honest number is higher than most owners think.
Going independent after 50: advantages first, blind spots second
Most advice about working for yourself is written for 28-year-olds. What changes when you start with three decades of pattern recognition, existing networks and a track record, and the first-year mistakes I keep seeing anyway.
AI raises the value of experience instead of replacing it
Ideas are getting cheap. Knowing which idea is worth pursuing in this client's situation, because you've watched similar calls play out before, is not. How professionals with long experience can use AI to raise their game rather than hand the work over.
What 90+ interviews reveal about who sustains an independent practice
The people who make it past year three aren't the best marketers. They're the ones the right people can find and describe. I can bring specific stories from named guests, including Michael Zipursky, Janine Garner and Ben Legg.
What I bring as a guest
I arrive prepared. I'll have listened to your show, and I'll suggest two or three angles shaped for your audience rather than reciting a stock talk. I record with the same setup I use for my own show, from the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, Australia (AEST), and I'm comfortable with any format or length.
After the episode airs, I share it with my LinkedIn network, add it to this page, and point my newsletter readers to it, so the appearance keeps working for both of us.
