Shifting to self employment for professional women
August 7 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm AESTA$30
The idea of school, work and retirement is defunct.
There’s a good chance that you will live to 100 and if you look after yourself will be in reasonable health.
If you are a professional and an expert in your field, why would you stop working at 60 or 65?
We’ll be exploring the idea of creating your own meaningful work
based on your preferred lifestyle in this workshop/seminar.
Or you may be working and feeling that your current work is an endless grind,
your co-workers or boss aren’t respecting you, or your prospects of advancement being held back,
you may want to consider shifting to self-employment.
More so, if close to retirement or offered a redundancy and want to start the next phase of your life.
Shifting to self-employment may be hard because those around you don’t often understand why,
and may not be supportive.
You feel stuck and need some helpful advice about how best to explore future possibilities.
They will help you explore your options and what you can do.
Aimed at women 40+, but more likely 50-60+ who are experts in their field
and who want to transition into, or start their own ‘expert’ business.
Highly relevant to senior females in expert or specialist roles in the public service, or not-for-profits.
- making the shift
- transitions & business mindsets
- what’s involved in running a business
- getting clients who want to pay you, and
- where to go from here
